A self taught artist, I've been drawing for as long as I can remember. Charcoal is my favorite medium, because of its depth and the softness attainable with it. But on some pieces I'll add color pencil or pastel, to enhance a feature or the overall mood.
I draw mainly from photographs. My favorite pieces are usually drawn from photos I was able to take for myself, with my trusty old Minolta XE-7, but I've worked off of images taken with a camera phone in a pinch.
Inspiration comes from anywhere I find beauty, which can sometimes be the most unexpected places! Other times its right where you know it will always be, I have three beautiful children who've all been drawn numerous times!
My goal in art is the same as my goal in life, to trust God from start to finish. He's the only one who knows how things are going to turn out!
